At this home in Jacksonville, we applied xeriscaping techniques to produce water-efficient landscaping, mitigating the need for irrigation. This smart design and efficient irrigation system saves water while creating an enjoyable, low maintenance landscape. Our work here made a significant upgrade to existing outdoor activity areas.
The natural rock features include a dry river creek bed, a retaining wall in the backyard that faces the greenway, with custom paver sidewalk, along with flagstone steps to navigate the yard. The boulders in this design are placed in both the front yard and the backyard. In the front yard, we installed the dry river creek bed, which adds ambience and curb appeal to the entire street.
Natural stone is durable and ages well. The weather, wear, and exposure don’t diminish its beauty; instead of looking worn or dated, natural stone becomes enriched.
Dry Creek BedF Design & Installation
This is one of the larger dry river creek beds we installed recently, and it’s stunning. The landscape lighting accents the design and creates visual interest. It naturally draws attention with the larger boulders we installed. This feature transformed an ordinary and boring front yard into an attractive focal point.
Landscaping Upgrade With Low Maintenance
Landscape with boulders, rocks, and gravel produces contrasting colors with interesting texture. As you view this project, you see a cohesive look with natural beauty that will thrive in our southern Oregon climate. When the landscaping lights activate, the yard is filled with shadows that create an elegant ambiance for years to come.
We provide custom designs of sustainable landscaping. This project is a beautiful example of how we use natural materials and native plants to add value to a home and the neighborhood.
When you think about building something that lasts, something with character, functionality, and simple elegance, natural stone is at the top of our materials list. From ancient castles and timeless monuments to modern patios and walkways, natural stone has proven it can stand the test of time in both form and function.
SUMMARY
A major benefit of using natural stone is how easily we can customize it to accommodate the requirements to each client. Slabs, chopped stone, and flagstone can be sawn, shaped, or even broken on site to fit your requirements.
No two stones are the same; every project we install will have its own subtle variations in tone, texture, and pattern. Natural rock is the ideal element for any segment of landscaping, which is easy to see in the photos of this project. Southern Oregon’s dry summers and wet winters favor durable stone features and irrigation systems which we have decades designing and installing.
